On 3 May 2026, Glarus gathered once again under the open sky: the Landsgemeinde, one of the last direct democracies in the world, filled the ring on the Zaunplatz. And right in the middle, on this very square that is a piece of home for us, WAYA was there too.
At 9:30 am the Landsgemeinde begins with the procession. Anyone eligible to vote may «advise, reduce and increase» — take the floor and put forward motions. This year there were 13 agenda items, from the elections and the tax rate to housing construction and agriculture. A long, wide-awake morning — and that is exactly what WAYA is made for: natural caffeine from guayusa.
For a young brand from Glarus, being part of this day is something special. The Landsgemeinde is Glarus identity in its purest form — and WAYA is at home in Glarus. Handing an ice-cold can to the people standing up for their cause felt exactly right.
